Every family has its own humour, its own mess, and those little moments you’ll look back on and laugh about in ten years. My sessions are relaxed, you don’t need to dress up or plan everything to the minute. I’m there to catch what happens naturally, not ask everyone to say “cheese” at the same time. Broken biscuit? Perfect. Toddler tantrum? Honest.
Before We Meet
Here’s how it goes:
- First chat — over a brew or phone call to figure out what works (home, park, sofa, muddy field).
- Fun and relaxed session — I’ll guide (a bit), photograph (a lot), and try to stay sane if the dog steals your prop.
- Gallery delivered — you get a private link to the gallery within two weeks, full resolution and ready to print or share.

Where do the shoots take place?
Wherever you feel most comfortable. That could be your home, a park, a woodland walk, or somewhere that means something to your family. If you’re not sure, I’ve got plenty of local spots that work great.
What should we wear?
Wear what feels like you. Neutral colours work well, but the main thing is you feel comfortable and confident. Avoid big logos and super-busy patterns. But don’t stress about it. If you’re not sure, send me a quick photo of your outfit options and I’ll help you pick.
What if the kids don’t behave?
That’s part of it. I don’t expect kids to sit still and smile on cue. I’ve got kids myself, I get it. Some of the best photos come from the chaos, so don’t worry if things go a bit off script.
Can we include pets?
Absolutely. If they’re part of the family, they’re welcome. Just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly (and maybe bring a few treats).
What if the weather’s awful?
We’ll keep an eye on the forecast. If it’s looking like a washout, we can reschedule—no charge. Or, if you're up for it, we can embrace the rain and make it part of the story.
How long until we get our photos?
Usually within 2 weeks. I’ll send you a private online gallery where you can view, download, and order prints if you want.
Can grandparents come too?
Of course. Just let me know who’ll be there so I can plan the shots properly. For larger families (8 or more) there may be an extra charge - we can discuss that beforehand though.
