Hundreds of runners, thousands of footsteps and more determination than you'd find in most Monday morning meetings.
On 27 September, I was back behind the camera for Compton Care, this time capturing the action at their Half Marathon.
After filming their Corporate Quiz Night earlier in the year, it was great to support the charity again. Although this time, there were considerably more trainers involved and fewer people sitting down.
Running for a brilliant cause
Events like these bring out the best in people. From the runners tackling the distance to the volunteers and supporters cheering them on, there's always something happening worth capturing.
My role was to photograph and film the event, catching the atmosphere, the determination and those moments that make all the hard work worthwhile.
And the best bit? I got to experience the excitement of a half marathon without actually having to run one.
Which, frankly, is my kind of sporting event.
