Welcome to my Blog.
A place where I share all of the Wedding Planning Tips and Tricks I have learned from 12+ years in the industry.

Let me tell you about a wedding that had everything, love, laughter, cow shit, and a tree with more personality than your average dinner guest. Abi and Mike’s wedding at Curradine Barns was one for the books. And not just because it happened to fall on the hottest day of the year (33 degrees, no breeze, the works), but because it was bursting with warmth in every way that matters.
From the moment I arrived at the venue, you could feel something special in the air… possibly heatstroke, but mostly anticipation.
The Morning Prep: Bridal Suite Buzz
I turned up early (coffee in hand, camera ready) and found Mike in full groom-mode, adjusting details, setting up the room, completely immersed in the magic of it all. He wasn’t stressed, just focused. Calm. Thoughtful. Like he wanted everything to be just right for Abi.
Upstairs in the Curradine Barns bridal suite, Abi was in prep mode with her crew. You could feel the mix of nerves and excitement. She wanted everything to go perfectly, and spoiler alert, it did. There was a quiet intensity about her, and not the kind that makes people tense, but the kind that makes people care. She wasn’t just having a wedding. She was showing up for something meaningful.
The Ceremony: Tears, Smiles, and Shoulder Drops
Held in the heart of Curradine Barns, the wedding ceremony felt like a warm hug (okay, a sweaty one, but heartfelt nonetheless). Friends and family gathered in that iconic barn setting, rustic, romantic, with that red-brick charm you only get in Worcester wedding venues. The second Abi walked down the aisle, you could see the tension melt from Mike’s face. And once those vows were said and rings were on fingers, it was like someone hit the “relax” button. The shoulders dropped. The grins got wider. The real fun kicked in.
The Reception: Sun, Laughter, and Full Reign Chaos
Outside, the courtyard baked under the blazing sun, but no one seemed to care. With guests travelling from all over the place, it turned into one big reunion, stories shared, wine poured, kids running absolutely wild (in the best way). If you’ve ever wondered whether Curradine Barns is a child-friendly wedding venue, it absolutely is, as long as you’re cool with the occasional grass stain.
There was so much joy here. People weren’t just posing for pictures, they were genuinely happy, present, and totally up for a laugh.
That Tree, That Field, That Fence
Now… let’s talk about that tree. Not just any tree. This thing was dead, gnarly, and standing alone in a farmer’s field like some ancient wedding guardian. Abi and Mike loved it. They felt drawn to it, and honestly, I got it. It had character. So we made a break for it.
Cue the fence.
Abi, in full bridal gear, and Mike, still grinning like a kid, climbed that thing with pure determination. We trekked through a field of cow pats, laughing the entire way, all to get a few frames next to that perfectly imperfect tree. Totally worth it.
These are the moments that make Worcester wedding photography feel like storytelling. It’s not just about the kiss or the cake. It’s the muddy shoes, the spontaneous decisions, the laughter that catches you off guard.
